A difficult to name fabric, this material is recognised under a variety of titles from Double Gauze through to Baby Cloth, Swaddling Cloth and many more. Eventually we took a consensus at an exhibition, asked lots of visitors and (rightly or wrongly) hit on Double Gauze Baby Cloth.

However, whatever the best name is, what we can say is that the fabric is without doubt a lovely quality, lightweight cloth with a consistent woven finish, lovely natural texture and soft handle.

Offers & Cut Lengths

Double Gauze Orders will be cut as one continuous length up to the 10m standard full bolt option.

To order simply add metres to your basket – we will cut as one continuous length. Half metres are available by entering 0.5 (half metre) 1.5 (one and a half metres).

Also available in longer roll lengths of up to 40-60m by special request. Please – we would be delighted to provide further information.

Recommended Sewing Thread

For stitching Double Gauze we recommend using Empress Cotton Sewing Thread. Fine, strong, soft finish & absolutely natural. An ideal and superb general purpose cotton with uses ranging from dressmaking to quilting. Lint free and guaranteed to run on you sewing machine.
